Jessica and Sean’s beautiful Chateau Wyuna Wedding was everything this travel-loving couple wanted, even if the rain wanted to have a say on the day!

There are plenty of great reasons to have a Chateau Wyuna Wedding.  Jessica and Sean’s special day is proof of the venue’s versatility, whatever the weather.

Living in Melbourne, they knew that leaving the weather to chance would be absolute folly, so they planned ahead and chose Chateau Wyuna for their September spring wedding venue.  Set in the heart of Mt Evelyn, Chateau Wyuna is renowned for its exceptional service and fare.

Jessica was every bit the glowing bride in her gown from Fairytales Bridal, with hair and makeup by Reveal Mobile Hair & Makeup. Jessica’s flower arrangements from Bridie Bride Wedding complimented the look perfectly. Her three bridesmaids provided fantastic support for the beautiful bride, looking stunning in burgundy.  Their help was critical as well, ensuring that Jessica could navigate the formalities while the weather was feeling a touch adventurous.

Sean and his groomsmen were ready to celebrate in navy suits by Ferrari Bridal.  Their bow ties and boutonnière added a hint of burgundy to match the theme.

The rain promised to make an appearance for the duration of the Jessica and Sean’s Chateau Wyuna wedding ceremony, but we took our chances under the gorgeous pergola.  Just after I presented them as Mr and Mrs Cook, the rain made good on its promise!

This might have been disheartening for some, but not for this fun-loving couple.  Rain became an opportunity for some amazing wedding photography and videography by Bright Light Weddings, from the obligatory umbrella shots to romantic snaps around the extensive grounds.

Jessica and Sean chose wisely.  Chateau Wyuna is well-prepared for the chaos that can be Melbourne weather.  There are many indoor and outdoor possibilities, including the chapel, tree-top room, pergola, waterfall and rotunda.

Only five minutes from my home, I have been officiating weddings at this magical location for many years and look forward to bringing many loving couples – just like Mr and Mrs Cook – together in the future.

I feel privileged to have been part of this amazing couple’s big day and wish them every happiness for the exciting road ahead.

” We had Julie as our celebrant in our September wedding. From our first conversation, we were so

happy with our decision. She made us feel comfortable and relaxed throughout the entire journey and we had complete trust in her abilities to put together an amazing ceremony. She was always quick to reply to emails and took care of all the legal documentation both before and after the wedding.

Unfortunately, on the day, rain was threatening our outdoor ceremony but Julie was able to select the parts that she could skim over, in order to shorten the ceremony and squeeze it in before the rain. She put together the most beautiful, heartfelt and lovely ceremony from only the small amount of information we provided her with, and our friends and family could not stop raving about her! She was so switched on and solved problems without us having to say anything

I could not recommend Julie more highly and we thank her for playing such a crucial role in our special day.”

Jessica & Sean’s Love Story

Sean and Jessica met in 2010 at Maxi Foods, Blackburn North – the local supermarket where they both worked their first jobs. Jessica worked in the deli and Sean cleaned the meat room. On their first date, they went to the movies and saw Tomorrow When the War Began; it was meant to be a group date but no one else showed up! Their relationship developed over the years and a proposal occurred on the 27th October 2018 during a picnic dinner at the lake in Benalla. They had spent the day painting their new house and they were both covered in paint. Sean told Jessica that he didn’t trust her to take the ring overseas (they were due to leave for Europe 5 days later) and that’s why he asked that night.

Jessica describes Sean as intelligent, and extremely hard-working with a generous disposition. She loves that everything Sean does is for her, for them and for their future. Nothing is too much trouble for him. She loves that he is her biggest support and biggest fan. Jessica loves and enjoys that he thinks everything she does is great because it makes her feel that she can attempt and achieve anything. She loves his kind heart and how he will go out of his way to reunite lost dogs with their owners (even though it always makes them late for things!). Jessica adores how much Sean loves her and how often he tells her that she is beautiful. Sean has also taught her how to relax a little more and not to care so much about the little things, but a lot about ashphalt!

Sean finds that Jessica is a determined individual who is absolutely beautiful and absolutely hilarious! He loves her adventurous and fun-loving nature which has driven them to travel and visit many places together. Jessica has grown from a shy and reserved young woman to someone who is strong and goal-oriented to achieve outcomes for her future. Sean admires how she has overcome challenges with this new-found resolve to give herself the life and career she has wanted. He also doesn’t mind sharing the love she has with their mature age pups, Toby and Georgie, and also doesn’t mind her terrible, terrible jokes. As their relationship developed, Jessica has taught Sean about compromise, and how it’s a good thing.

As a couple, they both love spending time at their house in the yard with the dogs and creating things. Travelling together is also of importance as well as learning new things along the way. In continuing their successful relationship through marriage, they know that communication, listening to each other and maintaining ones sense of self is extremely important along with much fun and lots of dogs. They both can’t wait to see what else they can achieve as a team, where life takes them and growing their family, together.
