Chateau Wyuna Open Day 2025
Chateau Wyuna holds a special place in my celebrant heart.
It’s five minutes from home, and I’ve been delivering weddings there for seventeen years. That’s a lot of “I dos,” a lot of happy tears, and a whole lot of stories tucked into that beautiful little corner of the Dandenong foothills.
This year’s Open Day was another big one, and even though I couldn’t be there in person thanks to a double-wedding day (peak celebrant life), I still made sure couples didn’t miss out on a bit of Julie goodness. I set up my stand with a $200 pamper pack giveaway and a QR code loaded with wedding planning info, tips, ideas and all the helpful bits I’ve collected over the years. Even when I’m not physically in the room, I like to make sure couples feel supported and walk away with something useful.
The Open Day itself had the works.
Chateau Wyuna always showcases its spaces beautifully, and there’s a real charm in wandering between the different ceremony and reception areas. From the historic log cabin to the gardens to the reception rooms that suit both intimate and larger celebrations, the venue gives couples plenty to choose from. It’s one of those places that feels welcoming no matter the season or the weather, which is probably why it’s been such a long-time favourite.
There were loads of suppliers in attendance too. Florists, photographers, entertainers, stylists, cakes, décor, you name it.
Couples could chat, compare, ask questions and start building their team. And, in true Open Day fashion, there was a fashion parade that always draws a crowd. Nothing like seeing gowns and suits in motion to help spark inspiration.
Chateau Wyuna has been part of my celebrant journey from the very beginning, and I love it for its heart, its history and its people.
