Yarra Valley Winery Wedding with Liina and Hayden

The Details

The ceremony space is perfectly placed to take in the panoramic outlook. The sun, greenery and rolling hills on this day were a spectacular backdrop for their stunning triangular arch and florals from One Fine Daisy. You will also note, that I like to leave the precious arbour and ceremony space for my couple and their photos. Of course, I will pop over in the important parts to help out.

Matt from Now and Forever captured their day with beautiful photos of the pale blue and lemon colour pallet and Shannon from Music With Memories coordinated the ceremony music and elevated the reception into full party mode into the night.

As you can see, Liina is gorgeous and chose Always and Forever Bridal and Elegancia Make Up and Hair to style her, elevating her look to next level. Hayden’s daughter and Liina’s nephew were also a included in the ceremony and received their appreciation certificates at the end of the ceremony. Their story and vows were wonderful – enjoy!

Their Love Story

Liina and Hayden met in the technological world of online dating on the app Bumble in 2019 where they matched. Their first date an in-person connection was to Arbury Afloat in the Melbourne CBD on a sunny summer evening for a couple of drinks, and the conversation and laughs kept them there until they were kicked out at closing time.

Liina noticed a sweet shyness in Hayden, but once they got talking, he opened up, and suddenly, she saw a whole other side of him—confident, funny, and just the right amount of charming. At first, she was drawn to his strong, grounded presence, but as they spent more time together, his warmth and genuine kindness truly pulled her in.

Hayden remembers thinking, “Oh my, she is just as stunning in real life as her photos, if not more so!” She took his breath away, that’s for sure, and he will never forget that green dress.

Hayden offered Liina a ride home in the hope of asking her again and found that they both loved trance music as she hopped in the car, so that was Hayden’s key to asking Liina for a second date.

In these early stages of dating, Liina appreciated that there were no mind games with Hayden; meeting him was like a breath of fresh air. Even with his busy life as a single father to Kahlahni, he always found time for Liina and getting to know her. She could be herself with Hayden in different forms, even during her crazy moments. Liina was impressed with their communication and understanding; it felt so good to trust someone early on.

For Hayden, it was easy to be in Liina’s company, they could make each other laugh, they shared similar core values, and, let’s be honest, she’s also a complete stunner!

Their relationship developed, and they knew this was their forever person when they met each other’s family and friends. With Kalahni, the 3 of them formed a team, survived lockdowns and moved in together.

Hayden proposed on their first European holiday. He wanted to ask Peeter for his permission to ask for Liina’s hand. He managed to achieve this over Zoom, hiding on the apartment balcony, while Liina was taking a shower. A romantic dinner was booked in the Old Town in Estonia, and then, when cocktails were being enjoyed in the town square after dinner, Hayden took to his knee and proposed. He was initially met with a scream of “Is this real?!” before she said a big yes. It must have been a moving moment as some big, burly Russian bloke walking past witnessed the proposal and stormed up to give them both a big hug and kiss.

Liina loves that Hayden is ambitious, loyal, affectionate, hard-working, and romantic. She can be 100% herself with Hayden, and he’s not afraid to be silly. He’s always there for her when she needs him, making her believe in herself while making her feel safe. Hayden has taught Liina to trust, believe in herself, and work as a team.

Hayden loves that Liina is loyal, spontaneous, and silly. Flaws, warts and all, he can be himself. He knows he is completely loved for who he is, unconditionally. He loves how they have the same plans for the future and can’t wait to spend a lifetime making memories together. Liina has taught Hayden to appreciate the things he has in life, to make the most of the people in your life, and to tell them you love them. She has also taught him overseas holidays are more affordable than you would think, so just book it!

Surprisingly, Liina and Hayden love to travel together; they have the best time together when they are on holiday! They match each other so well in how they like to explore, from homemade lunches from the hotel room and minibar and a fridge made in the sink with ice to keep the beer cold to fine wine and dining the next night. Local camping, big walks, and day adventures are also favourite pastimes.

Trust, respect for your partner, connection, friendship, and communication will continue to be crucial in their marriage.

Hayden and Liina look forward to planning more adventures worldwide, good health, marrying their soulmate, creating more memories, and growing old but not acting old.

They can’t wait to celebrate their love with all of you, enjoy the biggest party tonight, and see all the hard work come together. They have their fingers crossed for a fur baby for Liina soon, to be partners in crime forever, and to indulge in their honeymoon. And, as of today, all this will be achieved as husband and wife.

The Vows

Liina and Hayden’s vows were loved-filled, fun, emotional and epic. With Liina’s Estonian background, they decided to share their vows in both English and Estonian – with Hayden getting help from Liina’s family to read his. It’s a great way to include everyone where language might be a barrier.

“True love is hard to find” they say, but it doesn’t stop us looking for it, wishing for it, and dreaming of it!

To find the “ONE”, your one, the missing piece. The person who makes you feel complete.

I always dreamed of a fairytale romance, one like you see in all the corny romcoms, and like they sing about in old fashion love songs.

I will always remember the very first moment I saw you, and I can still feel those butterflies in my stomach that went crazy as I was trying to play it cool whilst you walked towards me! Now I know the real story, and that you caught my shy reaction, but still decided to give me a go!

I often think of all the life choices we have both made over the years, all the planes we jumped on, all the jobs we decided to apply for, all the cities and countries we called home. Despite all of the millions of big and small choices we have made, from the opposite sides of the world, we found each other!

And here we are, standing in front of our most special people, pledging our undying love and commitment to each other!

I am so thankful to have found someone who I can be my true self with, no walls or masks, someone I feel safe to be vulnerable with, someone who I can trust with my deepest secrets and darkest fears.

Liina, I choose you to be my forever, the person I spend the rest of my days with. I choose you for more than just the instant spark, that attraction, the chemistry.

You mean so much more to me than words can describe, but I know you well enough after our years together, and the question will always be “MIKS!” (why)

So let me try… You always have my back, and you teach me how to appreciate and be thankful for the small things in in life. Your always supporting me and cheering me on, always wanting the best for me. You’re the best travel buddy and teammate and have opened my eyes to the fact that nothing in life is impossible if you want it enough!

I will always remember when we first became a couple, how you used to reach out for me in the middle of the night, that even in your sleep, you wanted to know that im still there, next to you! That feeling of unconditional love.

It is because of everything you are Liina, that makes me know I want to spend the rest of my life making memories with you!

Liina, I promise to always be there for you, in good times, and especially in hard times. To pick you up when your down and help you fix your crown, to hold you high and celebrate all your successes in life, and be your biggest cheerleader!

I promise to always stay loyal and dedicated to you, to us, me and you, together forever!

I promise to strive to be the best version of myself possible, and to be the partner you deserve. To stand beside you, to love and protect you, always.

Not a day goes by that I do not thank the universe for bringing us together, but as we always say, thanks Dad, thanks Jacky!

Liina’s Vows

Dear Hayden, my KB,

Here we are, surrounded by our loved ones, but most importantly, just you and me. Walking towards you at this moment reminds me of the day we met—when you gave me that quick look, pretending not to see me. That was the first time I noticed your sweet shyness and the nervousness hidden behind that strong man.

From our first date to today, on the most important day of our lives, you’ve shown me through your love, care, and support that you are my Soulmate. We know before we say, being silly like no one is watching us, and we’ve always had each other’s backs, no matter what.

Hayden, thank you for loving me and accepting me for who I am—not just for my perfect qualities, but also for my flaws. I know I’m not perfect, but my love for you is pure and endless.
