Yarra Ranges Estate is a beautiful winery wedding venue located in Monbulk on the outskirts of Melbourne where this wedding celebrant loves to work. Vineyard weddings are extremely popular in Melbourne, especially in the Yarra Valley, and it was the perfect choice for Georgia and Jarrod to hold their wedding celebrations. This delightful couple looked totally stunning and were so chilled to work with.
With 3 bridesmaids, in the trending sage/pistachio colour complemented with muted pink and beige florals, and 3 groomsmen in classic black, we prepared for the ceremony, which was moved into the undercover, outdoor area due to the inclement weather. One hundred guests gathered to see the bride walk down the aisle in her Madi Lane gown from Luv Bridal and become husband and wife. Both Georgia’s parents were involved in supporting her and Jarrod managed to nail his vows, despite the nerves. It was a wonderful celebration! Many wonderful suppliers help contribute to the day. See them listed at the end of the blog. I thank them for choosing me to be their celebrant.
Their Love Story
Georgia and Jarrod met via a true, modern-day love story – Tinder. After speaking for about 2 weeks, they met up for the first time at Georgia’s house back in 2018. Georgia’s first impression of Jarrod was that he was very good looking (all his profile photos were him modelling) however she was a bit sceptical that he was going to be a typical ‘I Love Myself’ type guy. She was very wrong in that regard. From the moment they met he was just the most caring and down to earth person who has a heart of gold.
Jarrod’s first impression of Georgia was that she was very beautiful, but initially thought she was taller than him but as she kept walking down the steps, she kept getting smaller. He immediately appreciated her intelligence and humour and really loved that he could be goofy in front of her from the first night.
Their first date was at Georgia’s house, Jarrod came around for a movie night and they stayed up and talked until 3AM When they first started dating Georgia appreciated how attentive he was to how she was feeling and gave her his undivided attention to listen and help her feel better. Jarrod was impressed with how laid-back Georgia was and how she easily understood his humour and could take jokes and have a laugh.
They fell in love quickly, for Georgia it was about a month in and for Jarrod, when she promised to come to his grand final if they made it. And, she stuck to her promise
Inevitably, Jarrod was the one who popped the question back in December 2020 – they were on a nature walk at the Alfred Nicholas Memorial Garden in Sherbrooke- Georgia had her suspicions that he was going to propose, however, didn’t want to get her hopes up. They were almost about to leave when Jarrod asked Georgia for a hug. When she turned back, he was down on one knee.
Georgia describes Jarrod as caring, funny and handsome. She loves how caring and attentive he is and how he can make her laugh in any situation (even when she is mad at him). Jarrod has taught Georgia what a happy and healthy relationship is and, that no matter how hard she tries, he is always better at any sport than her.
Jarrod describes Georgia as loving, intelligent and so naturally beautiful., She has the ability to randomly pull out the funniest of things and he appreciates this. Georgia has taught Jarrod how a woman can treat a man in a healthy relationship and a lot about money and saving, especially when buying a house.
Together, Georgia and Jarrod love to watch movies, take their 2 dogs out for walks, dinner dates, play games and hang out with their friends. In marriage, they intend to continue to be open and honest with each other, ensuring clear communication with each other.
Georgia looks forward to being able to call Jarrod her husband and share the same last name with him and Jarrod’s excited about getting married because it’s the next step and they both can’t wait to build their first home and start a family together.
The Vows
Jarrod
Georgia,
Back when we first met, we were just 2 people meeting up, never did I think that after driving 50 minutes to Beaconsfield that I would meet such a beautiful woman. After seeing you I remember thinking this is it. Don’t ruin this chance, Jarrod.
Ever since that day I haven’t looked back. I love you more than I could ever express. You let me be me even though sometimes I annoy you a bit too much. I promise to protect and to be there whenever you need. I promise to be the best father for our kids and to not stop making you proud to call me your husband.
Georgia
Jarrod,
I can’t believe this day is finally here – now you don’t have to listen to me remind you every week how many days are left.
From the very first moment we met I knew that we would have something special, we connected instantly and were able to talk like we had known each other for years.
You have been my best friend through all the good times and been the shoulder to cry on during the bad times. Not a day goes by where you don’t remind me how beautiful I am or how much you love me and although small gestures they mean the world to me.
I can’t wait for what’s next for us as Husband and Wife, we still have so much to look forward to and I couldn’t imagine doing it with anyone else. I love you.
